The last 6 months, have been very interesting for computer graphics industry. The achievement of 7nm processor manufacturing by AMD surely opens up the next possibilities in features and performance, as well as power efficiency. AMD introduced their first Radeon VII, the world's first 7nm gaming GPU. Just as all earlier introduction of gaming GPU, it will be followed by the introduction of the next professional GPUs product line that will replace their current high performance graphics such as Radeon Pro, Radeon Pro Duo and Radeon Pro SSG which is the first professional graphics that carries 16GB of HBM2 GPU memory along with 2TB Solid State Graphics memory. The Radeon Pro SSG allows professional to work with up to 8K video playback, more VR content and details, as well as 10-bit color. Nvidia didn't just stand there. They introduced the RTX gaming graphics line which consists of real time ray tracing core, implemented inside their GPU. This allows real time ray tracing computing to be available for complex and massive lighting computation. Shortly after, they came up with the introduction of RTX professional graphics, under the name of Quadro RTX, based on Turing architecture. Their Quadro RTX line up are available in a wide range of choices: RTX 4000, RTX 5000, RTX 6000 and RTX 8000. All new Quadro RTX cards are ready for VR. This is truly a good news for us all within the engineering and creative industry, as this would allow us to be more productive in order to shorten the production timeline by cutting down some time consuming process and focus ourselves to achieve the objective of the expected final product.
