Introduction
In response to the challenges presented by cost efficiency, time constraints, demands for higher productivity and the need for accessible learning solutions, we launched Grasshopper online learning sessions. A key priority during development was creating comprehensive materials that facilitated seamless communication between mentors and participants while replicating the collaborative atmosphere of a traditional classroom setting.

The Grasshopper Online Accelerated Learning Session has successfully opened doors for numerous new users in Indonesia, while also catering to experienced Rhinoceros users who lack the time for traditional multi-week training programs. This accelerated approach not only provides a rapid introduction to Grasshopper but also fosters an independent mindset, encouraging participants to continue exploring and mastering the software beyond the class.

• Our learning materials are developed using a hypothesis-synthesis-analysis approach, designed to unlock understanding and cultivate an algorithmic mindset aligned with the Grasshopper workflow. This structured methodology fosters both conceptual clarity and practical application.

• Our online sessions combine face-to-face interaction (audio and video) with screen sharing, delivered in small groups to ensure a high level of lesson delivery effectiveness. Each participant benefits from the ability to view the mentor’s display in real-time on their own computer.

Our Online Classroom
Our online classrooms are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of 4 participants per session, ensuring personalized attention and optimal engagement. Each student receives 8 hours of live, interactive instruction guided by an experienced mentor/trainer, no pre-recorded content is used.

We foster a dynamic learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds—including architects, engineers, designers, professionals, students, and hobbyists—come together to learn and collaborate. We utilize a secure and efficient online connection with interactive audio and video capabilities, replicating the collaborative atmosphere of a traditional training setting.

Classrom Objectives

• Complete the full session in just two days (8 hours of live online training) – an intensive format designed for rapid skill development.
• Develop a hypothesis-synthesis-analysis computational mindset, empowering you to confidently use Grasshopper and design effective algorithms & workflows.
• Receive a Grasshopper Accelerated Learning Session Certificate of Completion upon successful completion.

​Prerequisites & Requirements

• Rhinoceros Experience: Familiarity with Rhinoceros is required, as Grasshopper operates within this software.
• Computer Specifications: A computer meeting Rhinoceros’ minimum or recommended specifications (details here).
• Rhinoceros License/Trial: A full license of Rhinoceros is needed; a 90-day trial version is also acceptable for learning purposes (download here).
• Internet Connection: A stable wired or wireless broadband internet connection is essential for streaming audio and video.
• Audio Equipment: Functional speakers and a microphone are required for two-way communication. Most laptops have these built-in.
• Dual Monitor (Recommended): A second monitor significantly enhances the learning experience by allowing you to view the instructor’s screen while using Rhinoceros.
• Webcam Required: A webcam is necessary for face-to-face interaction and discussion.
