There's a sense of impossibility on the title written above from the hardware point of view. But, if we have our mind broadened to every possibility, I can say it's possible. And HP is making it possible.
Good news for all HP Zbook 14 users. It's been few years since I've been using World's first Ultrabook Workstation from HP. Have been fascinated by its performance, reliability. And now, even more performance "upgrades" by some driver updates. Of course it wouldn't go the same level performance as my new HP Zbook Studio G3, but, it delivers unexpected performance increases compare to today's computers/notebooks. And just as simple as this: it just gets faster.
Hardware: HP Zbook Studio G3
Software: McNeel Rhinoceros v5 for Windows
1990, the year the first time I saw it on the news and fell in love at first sight. The Northrop McDonnell Douglas YF-23, had been my all time jetfighter favorit. I had a dream of flying the RC one for many decades. And in the end, I'm now able to design my own YF-23 and fly it. A bonus: I'm able to share it to the world!
Computer migration. One thing that may not be a big deal for some people. But for me, it's a time consuming and one thing that I'd prefer doing it in long spare time. However, these days, spare time is considered as a luxurious entity in my daily activities. Not only to migrate all my data to a new computer, but making my computer more "bullet proof" to any issues in the future. Generally, it took me 4-5 straight days to set a new computer/notebook up. With the new Zbook Studio G3 arrived on my desk, the process will repeat. And I don't think that I have the time to do so as 4-5 straight days. But, it has to start somehow.
After waiting for quite sometime, watching it launched end of last year, I finally got my own HP Zbook Studio G3.
It's been more than a year since my last article. Been a totally busy year, surely was 2015. Looks like it will get even busier in 2016. However, I'd like to extend my gratitude to HP Zbook owners and congratulate some of you who finally use your main gear for work, as well as for playing. It's time to blend work with pleasure with HP Zbook.
Happy New Year 2014, Everyone! This very first day of 2014, after browsing the net for a while, I've found a very interesting video article about the new HP ZBook 15. Frankly speaking, the video brought my jaw on the table (of course on the table not the floor, because while I was watching it I put my Envy 14 Spectre on the table). I've never seen such performance in my life, coming out of a mobile workstation.
It's been few months since my last article in this site. However, I don't want you to have no updates which you may have missed in from any internet sources. So now, I'm gonna share one "small yet big" thing for Blender 3D: MOTION CAPTURE SUPPORT.
Do You Know That Rhinoceros and Grasshopper Were Being Used In Order To Design Singapore's Marina Bay Sands?
Most architects and designers are having difficulties in designing objects or even buildings with complex surfaces and structures. Well, this concerns and issues should be in the past, if they use Rhinoceros of McNeel & Associates.
Not just drafting 2D or modeling 3D objects, McNeel's Rhinoceros and Grasshopper associative modeling for Rhinoceros make paneling as easy as just drag and drop. This had been the answer for Moshe Safdie & Associates, an architect firm in Somerville, Massachusetts, when their design won the bid for prestigious Marina Bay Sands project, in Singapore.
Not Long Ago, In The Industry Not Far Away ...
For those who have been in the 3D industry in Indonesia since 90's, you may be familiar with 3ds Max which I introduced to Indonesian market in 1996. I knew so many people not only in Indonesia, but some industry major players as well. One of the highly known and respected, is Daniel Martinez Lara known as Pepe. You may want to check his website at www.pepeland.com. He was one of few well known 3ds Max pioneering animators in the world. Why? Because 3ds Max was not being considered as a professional choice. I was also struggling in order to introduce 3ds Max in Indonesia. His thoughts were awesome in order to open up people's mind.
So you're an engineer, designer, architect, ... what ever. So you use CAD, for daily work in drafting your production drawing. You need to ask few questions, before you come to the BIG QUESTION, listed as the title above. However, having more than 10 years of CAD experience on my end, seeing so many people using CAD (learning from the beginning - college, up to professionals), they don't use even 50% of the features even in just 2D CAD application. So, let's just go to the questions you need to ask your self.
Drafting, well known as technical drawing in many industries such as mechanical engineering, architectural, electrical, interior design etc. Also considered as production drawing.
It's combination of act and discipline of composing plans that visually communicate how something functions or has to be constructed (wikipedia.org: technical drawing).
