Many years back, Sentra Grafika Kompumedia delivered astounding solution based on HP Z400 up to Z800. Our solution allowed customers who bought high-end Z400 or even Z800, to use it for up to 4 users just by adding keyboards, mice and monitors, concurrently. Not a single client box, attached.

Note that hardware performance has multiplied in recent days, compared to what we saw around 10 years ago. With the development, enhancement and changes of hardware, software and operating system, there are plenty of possibilities now through available feature sets/products and also research materials. The truth is, I still couldn't believe myself that the performance jump of the Zbook 17 G6 I daily use, could leap this high. I mean real high.

Okay, I will simply give a short background about this beast that successfully placed my jaw on the floor. It is, a hefty 17" display HP Zbook 17 G6 mobile workstation that was launch back in end of 2019. So yes, the generation of HP mobile workstation has reached G8, which is the latest. However, this 2 years old mobile workstation hasn't failed me. In fact, it keeps on extending my respect to it. See how this "baby" could crush recent  release of some notebooks. Even some desktops.

Lockdown. The world is now populated with many CAD software. Some are already well known in the industry, while some others are open source, and even free. There are also some different licensing models, applied to users when using different CAD software for their computers.

As a graduated engineer and hard core designer in RC plan/UAV hobbyist, I've been working and using different CAD software the last 2.5 decades. And from my point of view, Rhinoceros 6 is just the perfect answer to my needs and of course many others which are related to 3d modeling, outputting archive as layouts (2D drawing), manual construction of my own designs, up to 3d printing parts for my personal R&D as well as sharing the simplicity and easiness to other fellow engineers and designers.

On November 18, 2019, HP announced the HP ZCentral Remote Boost, the evolution continuity of the HP Remote Graphics Software. This, is another milestone of HP in order to deliver broadened solution for high performance computing users around the globe.

I didn't realize that it's been 3 years now since I first used my HP Zbook Studio. It's a powerful one piece of beatiful mobile workstation, crafted by HP. Even now, my HP Zbook Studio still gives impression of how premium the look and the hardware are.

With onboard 6th gen Intel Core i7 4 core processor, it still could keep up with the workload I have on daily basis such as designing complex RC planes and UAVs, up to Computational Fluid Dynamics using OpenFOAM and Paraview. it's simply stunning of how this beautiful piece of hardware could perform such tasks.

However, the demands continue to grow once I started to use Blender 2.8 on it. Eevee rendering engine demand more powerful graphics which the on-board Nvidia Quadro M1000M with 4GB graphics memory couldn't keep up well enough. It requires more graphics computing power and consumes more memory for real-time Eevee rendering engine inside Blender to perform as expected.

Okay, okay. The title may confuse numbers of people, when they only read the title without reading through the article. And in this article, I would be talking about the new HP Zbook 15v, that from my personal perspective may technically be the mobile workstation that most engineers and designers hate, if we bring it back to 2014.

Good news for all HP Zbook 14 users. It's been few years since I've been using World's first Ultrabook Workstation from HP. Have been fascinated by its performance, reliability. And now, even more performance "upgrades" by some driver updates. Of course it wouldn't go the same level performance as my new HP Zbook Studio G3, but, it delivers unexpected performance increases compare to today's computers/notebooks. And just as simple as this: it just gets faster.

Quadro vs. Geforce. Radeon Pro WX vs. Radeon Pro. All these questions may have lurked into some professional's minds and stayed there as some of them have been tightly adhered by extremely sticky super glue called cost comparison. Up until now, I still get lots of questions from customers/potential customers that are comparing between both.

After waiting for quite sometime, watching it launched end of last year, I finally got my own HP Zbook Studio G3.

It's been more than a year since my last article. Been a totally busy year, surely was 2015. Looks like it will get even busier in 2016.
